The Eufaula Area Chamber of Commerce is a membership organization that practices voluntary partnerships of businesses and professionals working together, and also an inclusion of citizens in the community to build a healthy economy and to improve the quality of life in our community. Essentially a collective voice in community growth.
Therefore, a Junior Chamber Ambassador Program is an extension to be explored as a model membership to our High School citizens. We believe that this program will help extend the reach of the Chamber to the youth who will one day be leading our businesses, organizations, and town.
The goals of the EACC is accomplished through many different functions: economic development and planning, tourism, business and government liaisons, human resources advisor, and public relations specialists.
The EACC is run by a governing Board of Directors and the voice of its members. The economic future is the youth of our community. Participation by Junior Chamber Ambassadors promotes ownership of the youth in development and planning the quality of life in our community. This program involves EHS’s best students in community events, which gives them opportunities to meet with city leaders, business owners and management. This also teaches them the value of community involvement, volunteerism, and importance of the chamber of commerce.
The Junior Chamber Ambassadors will be a blueprint, laying the foundation of an active voluntary collaboration to create a more vibrant community. The collective mission is to set goals with strategic planning, and establish short and long term visionary goals with member stakeholders and leadership, all defined as a group. This program is also designed to motivate students to think seriously about the role they would like to play and the difference they can make in their community.
